SKYBOX SECURITY LAUNCHES WORLDWIDE RESELLER AND IMPLEMENTATION PARTNER PROGRAM TO EXPAND CHANNEL FOR EXPOSURE RISK MANAGEMENT (ERM)
Fourteen Partners Achieve Certification to Offer Skybox View for Enterprises Moving to Automated Risk Management
NetSec 2004 (Booth #607), SAN FRANCISCO, CA - June 14, 2004 - Skybox Security, Inc. today launched its Reseller and Implementation Partner Program designed to expand the worldwide channel and reach for Exposure Risk Management (ERM) solutions. With Skybox View, certified partners can help enterprise customers move to a continuous security risk management model to close the window of exposure against worms, and other security threats from weeks to hours - while optimizing existing infrastructure ranging from vulnerability scanners to remediation management systems.
The first fourteen partners to receive certification are /etc/networks, PlanB Technologies, Safeharbor Systems, Scienton and Siegeworks in North America, and Cirosec (Germany), eb-Qual (Spain), ENCODE (Greece and Middle East), Gruppo Di.Gi. ( Italy ), ITMC ( UK ), Ness Consulting ( France ), Pentest Limited ( UK ), Secoz ( Israel ) and Xpert ( Spain ) in Europe . Skybox customers include Global 2000 businesses in the financial services, telecommunications, high-technology, energy, biotechnology, and media industries, as well as government agencies.
Security risk management is now a boardroom issue. Regulatory compliance is creating even greater accountability and visibility pressures for executives. According to Deloitte's annual Global Security Survey for 2004, eighty-three percent of respondents reported that their systems had been compromised in the past year, compared to 39 percent in 2002. As a result, vulnerability management is one of the top two most common technologies that respondents intend to deploy over the coming 18 months. Leading analysts recommend that enterprises integrate and automate various risk management point solutions into a full lifecycle approach.
"Our partners are recognized security experts in their regions. The high caliber of these companies demonstrates the intense customer need for a new approach to risk management and the potential for modeling and attack simulation as the 'brains' behind it - prioritizing the critical vulnerabilities that affect business assets and optimizing the remediation process," said Yo Delmar , Vice President, Business Development for Skybox. "Our customers and partners will benefit from significant returns by automating what is currently an expensive and manual risk assessment and remediation planning process - for as much as a 95% reduction in operational costs".
In related news, Skybox announced V1.5 of SkyboxT View and interoperability with over 20 leading security solutions. The release is designed with a new open architecture that allows customers to easily leverage existing investments in a wide array of security and IT infrastructure solutions for all aspects of risk management. Integration with remediation and patch management solutions further reduces operational costs for customers.
"As cyber threats have grown increasingly more sophisticated, so have the products and services designed to combat these vulnerabilities. SiegeWorks' helps enterprises navigate this security maze and make security an integral part of the business process", said Gordon Shevlin , executive vice president for Seigeworks. "Skybox View is the perfect complement to our customer model because it adds a new "business risk analytics" layer that solves the information deluge generated by today's solutions. No one else has addressed this space. With Skybox View, we can help our customers find and fix the most critical exposures before they are exploited and gain significant overall cost savings".
"It's an intuitive product that has huge time and cost savings because it allows IT managers to focus on fixing the most critical vulnerabilities, enterprises to be proactive about remediation plans and also gives business managers an easier way to communicate the status of network security," said Harris Eliopoulos, managing director of ENCODE SA. "No other product on the market gives our customers this level of reliable and clear risk management and we're thrilled to offer it as a new edition to our product portfolio".
"Skybox View gives companies the ability to understand risk exposures visually - for entire network architectures both inside and out," said Ted Leis, CEO of /etc/networks, inc. "Our customers are amazed at how the Skybox technology can create a complete virtual model of their network, exactly as it's configured, with the ability to pinpoint which vulnerabilities lie upon an attack path and identify which represent the most critical exposures to their business applications".
All Skybox Reseller and Implementation Partners gain access to discounted products; expert technical support; co-marketing funds; and a Partner Portal that contains a broad range of marketing, sales, deployment, legal and other tools and resources.
